How We Work?
Strategy
The key strategy of Bhavishya Alliance is to start in Maharashtra and bring diverse partners together to participate in innovative interventions that will enhance the results/impacts of the current programmes/projects and activities being carried out individually by various agencies. In the initial years a few pilot projects are planned, developed, and implemented at the grassroots through the government and NGO structures with the technical & resource support from corporate to demonstrate synergetic effects for achieving speedy and effective impacts.
Later on, BA will advocate and facilitate replication and scaling up of appropriate programmes based on learning and success of the pilot models.Bhavishya Alliance’s current focus is on five functional areas called “5 pillars” that were evolved as an outcome of in-depth discussions amongst various partners. It is assumed that, if these pillars addressed individually and collectively in a holistic manner in a defined geographical area the malnutrition amongst children can be avoided, reduced or even stopped from occurring in future. Bhavishya Alliance aims at identifying the factors or root-causes that influence these pillars and bring in collective partnership to affect the same.
Role of Bhavishya Alliance
The key roles played by Bhavishya Alliance are as follows:
1. Identification of critical geographical areas to carry out interventions,
2. Facilitate situation analysis with participation of all stakeholders to identify the root causes, on going efforts to address the causes, the gaps in implementation, etc.,
3. Facilitate and bring in different partners together to address the gaps to enhance the effectiveness of results,
4. Support in monitoring the progress of such interventions,
5. Become an incubation centre of innovative ideas,
6. Document the learning, and evaluate the results,
7. Disseminate the successes and advocate the replication and scaling up in a larger / wider context.
The Bhavishya Alliance approach
Bhavishya Alliance approaches the issue child malnutrition through addressing gaps at each stage of the life cycle.
